The main difference between Gen1 and Gen2 boards is the size of the grooves - gen 2 has thinner grooves and requires a different attachment clip. Gen2 boards also offer the option of Brushed Finish or Wood Grain (each side is different).

The main difference between Gen1 and Gen2 TruNorth® Enviroboard Composite Decking is the size of the grooves—Gen2 has thinner grooves and requires a different attachment clip. Additionally, Gen2 boards offer a dual finish option: Brushed Finish on one side and Wood Grain on the other, whereas Gen1 boards have the same finish on both sides.
