For shipments outside these areas, please email us at support@compositedeckdirect.com for a custom quote. Deck board deliveries are curbside only, and we will confirm the shipping date in advance.

What is the lifespan of composite decking?

Unlike wood, it resists rot, decay, and insect damage, making it an excellent long-term investment. With its ability to withstand harsh weather conditions, plastic decking outlasts traditional wood options by far.

Does mold grow on composite decking?
Our composite decking, which contains no wood filler, is resistant to mold and mildew growth due to its synthetic materials. However, in damp and shaded areas, mold can still form on the surface if organic debris accumulates. Regular cleaning with soap and water or a mild deck cleaner can prevent this issue, ensuring the deck remains mold-free and looks great.

Is composite decking slippery when wet?

Does composite decking warp in the sun?

For those concerned about heat, choosing lighter-colored boards and providing shaded areas can help keep the surface cooler on hot days. PVC is also an alternate solution as it will not retain heat as much as composite.
