PVC decking, while durable and low-maintenance, can be more expensive upfront compared to traditional wood decking. Given how long it lasts, however, over time it may actually be cheaper as wood decks only last 10-15 years and require constant maintenance. It may also be prone to becoming slippery when wet so make sure the embossing is good for anti slip. Additionally, some people find that PVC lacks the natural look and feel of wood, but it depends on the brand - they are all different.
